When doing keyword research, you want to make sure people are actually searching for what you’re optimizing your page for. There are a few ways to get this data, but I think the easiest tool to use is Keywords Everywhere.
When you install this browser plugin, you get search volume data right in the search results. You get:
- Search volume
- Cost per click
- Competition
- 12-month trend
I’ve focused on the related keywords Keywords Everywhere gives me and I’ve been able to rank higher for more terms with very little effort – just doing a search.
The cost of this data was free but then they had to start charging for it (which I understand). Even so, their pricing is reasonable.
