What is My SMTP Server?
Having Trouble Sending Email?
Getting email working can be frustrating. You want to make sure the email you send to your clients actually reaches them or your business can grind to a halt.
Your website host and others don’t seem to be offering an outgoing server account anymore since it takes so much work for them to keep spammers out – but that doesn’t concern you… you need to get email working and sent out.
Why is the SMTP Setting so Difficult?
The problem with the outgoing or sending email server is that many ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are locking them down and not allowing as much access at they used to. It takes a lot of work to maintain an SMTP server because spammers love to get a hold of them and send out TONS of spam. The only thing your ISP can do is limit the use of an SMTP server or shut it off completely.
This leaves you with having to find your own SMTP service if you want to ensure that you email is properly delivered.
What is the Solution?
You can get an account on an SMTP server that works with your email program no matter what network you’re on. Get a remote SMTP service that you can rely on. You can make SMTP2Go your sending email server and you’ll never have to worry about sending email again. It’ll always work. Nice, huh?

Why Would You Need to Change Your SMTP Server?

I am not a geek but found your information useful.
I have used outlook for a few years but now unable to send emails. Message says “cannot send message using the server outlook.”
From your info I need to change smtp but I want a completely free one and not a free trial one.
Can you help please.
If it says, “cannot send message using the server outlook” then it sounds like you just have “outlook” set as the SMTP/sending server. It needs to be a domain name (without the https:// of course since that would be a URL, not a domain name).
I don’t know what your settings should be. Maybe contact your ISP (Internet service provider).
