Ikea PRODUKT – How to Put the Batteries In
Reading Time: 2 minutes The Ikea PRODUKT frother takes 2 AA batteries, but not all battery brands will work. My Kirkland batteries were too wide. Ray O Vac batteries worked for me. The battery compartment is very compact.
- With the door open and on the bottom, you’ll put the the AA battery with the negative end (flat end away from you) first.
- You might have to jiggle it to get it to fit and sit in place.
- Put the second AA battery in the other way with the flat side toward you.

I saw a video on YouTube where some guy proceeds to explain that any AA batteries will work. At first, I thought that info was fluff and unnecessary, but now I know he’s absolutely wrong. Not all brands work – that’s the key. You wonder how 2 AA batteries will fit – I did. You need thinner ones.
I have no idea why Ikea did this poor of a design with the battery compartment in the Produkt frother. It seems to be a nice, cheap unit, but I see many people have trouble with getting the batteries in. I hope this helps you.
