TL;DR Summary: I had some friends complaining about how difficult it was to find a phone number for Venmo, so I thought I'd research it and create a post about it, which might help others.
If you need to reach Venmo by phone, there’s only one number to trust: (855) 812-4430.
This is Venmo’s official general support line, listed directly on its help center. Representatives are available 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT, seven days a week, and can help with payment issues, transfers, locked accounts, and general questions.
If your issue involves a Venmo Debit or Credit Card specifically, don’t use the general line — call the number printed on the back of your card instead.
A word of caution: search results for “Venmo phone number” are full of copycat numbers on forums, review sites, and blogs that are not affiliated with Venmo. Some are outdated, and others are outright scams designed to trick you into sharing account details. Always confirm any number against Venmo’s official site, help.venmo.com, before calling.
If you can’t get through by phone, Venmo also offers in-app chat support (under “Get Help” in the app) and email support at support@venmo.com. For most account issues, the in-app help center resolves things faster than waiting on hold.
